Eunice N. Smith

Eunice Smith is the founder of The WordSmith Writer's Lab, home of the 21-Day Screenplay System, an innovative screenwriting education program that helps writers find their voice and write their feature film in 21 days or less. She is also the creator and executive producer of the Flip The Script Filmmaking Competition.

A Drama and RomCom screenwriter from Chicago, she is co-creator and writer for television series, Bogus Boyz. She has also written shorts, Finding Melissa Dearborn, Deenie Mae Meets a Drocky (animated short), and romantic comedy, I Remember You, as well as two feature-length projects, Stronger Together, and romantic comedy, Call It A Hunch.

Eunice made her directorial debut with her short film and Flip The Script proof of concept script, The Activist, a comedy about an overzealous protestor rushing to a community rally during the times of Covid-19.

Passionate about telling stories with fresh perspective, Eunice enjoys exploring atypical scenarios and character arcs in her projects to both entertain and enlighten audiences.

In addition to writing, Eunice also shares her passion through her work with writers and partner organizations such as The Chicago South Side Film Festival, Free Spirit Media, CNTXTR Digital and Colour Reserve, to continually cultivate opportunities for screenwriters to craft powerful, diverse narratives and see those stories come to life in a meaningful way.
